Many people these days, including myself until yesterday, have sought to discredit the value and validity of the community driven church with regard to how they usually tend to focus more on fellowship than discipleship.

There are many things these days to be weary about, of this I am certain. As many of you are aware I recently spent 8 days in the hospital because, as someone who has bipolar 1 and ADHD, I was off of my medications for about 6 weeks and became very, VERY suicidal, more so than I have ever been before.

I recently spent 8 days in a mental facility for the 5th time in my life due to the fact that I was without my medication for nearly 6 weeks. While I was in the hospital I met many different kinds of people with many different religions and beliefs.

As many of you know I have been going through a lot lately to put it lightly. I have, for the first time in my life as an apologist, realized the unhelpfulness of most apologetic arguments when one is in an extreme state of depression. It is not that the truth does not matter, but rather certain truths, such as the reliability of the Bible, arguments for the existence of God, and so on, are virtually irrelevant in the mind of the depressed believer who already believes these things.
